Have you been wanting to try Pilates but don't know where to start? Or maybe you’d like to brush up on the Pilates basics?
Our Pilates Fundamentals session is the perfect introduction for complete beginners and those who would like to refresh their knowledge! In this 1 1/2 hour class, you'll learn the basic principles and fundamentals of Pilates to help you build a strong foundation before joining our Pilates Beginners or Pilates Open Level classes.
Why are we running this? You can’t build a house without a solid foundation. But you can pitch a tent! Both will protect you from the rain or snow, but which one would offer you more safety and protection long term? A building with strong foundation, because it’ll be structurally safer and more reliable!
The same goes for a Pilates class: you can absolutely join the session without having any prior experience: you will do the movements which is always a bonus, but without knowing what to engage, squeeze, tuck, hold and lengthen (amongst multiple other things) these movement won’t be as safe or effective as the ones performed knowing the basics of Pilates.
This 90 minute session will help you to understand the movements, alignment and breathing so much better!
